Although we live in uncertain times, there are still a lot of fun activities that we can enjoy this Summer. For those who live on the coast, beach sports, ocean swims and seaside picnics are on the cards. Even if you don't live close to water, you are free to feel the sun, taste the local foods in season and enjoy what is unique to your home.

Here are 5 fun summer bucket list ideas people everywhere can enjoy this Summer irrespective of pandemic restrictions.

1. Explore your surroundings

Summer is an excellent time to get out. Taking in the sights and smells, colours and textures of the season is something not to be missed. Noticing the changes in your environment in Summer can be highly invigorating.
We believe Summer is the perfect season to follow your curiosity and go where you have never gone before. Climb that mountain, take a different path home, spend some serious time investigating your surroundings. It's incredible how many people don't venture beyond their commute route or walk down unfamiliar paths. Yes, you must always consider safety, but never let fear get in the way of a thrilling Summer escapade that could be remembered for years to come.

2. Sleep under the stars

Sleeping beneath the stars should be on everyone's bucket list. It is a great way to detach from screens and other modern distractions. We love the thought of loved ones lying back and taking in a light show until eyes droop and minds dream.
If sleeping outside doesn't sound so fun to you, remember it doesn't have to be a drag. You can make your night under the stars a luxurious sleeping experience. Equip yourself with all your sleepy time comforts and enjoy.

3. Read a book outside

Reading is often prevalent during the Winter season. Curling up fireside with a cup of cocoa and a good book is a pleasure we can't get enough of. However, Summer reading is also a joy. We advise taking a hat and sunglasses to stop the sun's glare, a cool glass of iced tea and a hot beach read. Alternatively, find a hammock or climb a tree and sit amongst the branches.
Reading outside invigorates both mind and body. We believe it is ideal for enhancing relaxation and enjoyment in Summer.

4. Relax and dream

People everywhere holiday during the sunny season, but even if you do not have a break from work, Summer can be a time that you take it a little easier. We love no-fuss dinners, staying out late until the sun goes down and waning the routine. We like clearing the schedule, spontaneous after-work soiree's and eating ice cream almost every night.
In the southern hemisphere, Summer brings in the new year. Summer brings us a blank canvas, and we use it to imagine the possibilities available to us in the year to come. Summer is also a great time to feast on your imagination. It is a time to dream and wonder and let your mind wander.
Summer is also a time of reflection, and if you haven't started, it's also the perfect time to practice gratitude. We think about the year that has passed, celebrate the wins and forgive the losses.

5. Dining al fresco

There is nothing like eating on rooftops, having chips on the beach, sipping drinks in an outside courtyard or having cookouts in the wild. Whether your community is on lockdown, dining al fresco is a beautiful Summer experience. Many cafes, restaurants and pubs have a curbside pick up option. We love the thought of supporting local businesses by ordering fancy cuisine and taking it to an outdoor location.
We also like the thought of making the most of the sunlight hours with a cruisy antipasto platter and deliciously fruity wine. However, whatever, with whoever, eating outdoors is a Summertime treat people everywhere can enjoy.
