Many humanitarian organisations state that the empowerment of women is imperative to building a rich society. When women and girls feel safe, and live constructive lives, they have the opportunity to reach their potential and contribute to society.
In short, when women are empowered, we all win!
Here at Sister and Soul, we believe that empowering women is an all day, everyday thing.
This is how we do it.
Globally, women are still less trusted in leadership. We believe deliberate, proactive measures need to be taken to improve this statistic.
We entrust leadership and decision making to women. Doing this helps to create an inclusive, collaborative environment, and encourages both higher job satisfaction and job commitment.
In return, women repay their trust and often become enthusiastically loyal and hardworking. We have found, given the opportunity to make decisions, engagement and productivity is greatly improved.
When one woman is trusted, she becomes a beckon for other women in that industry or workplace. We know that through the empowerment of a woman, we are not only impacting her life directly, but indirectly influencing other women and doing our part to encourage equality across the community at large.
We acknowledge and nurture the individual gifts of all at Sister and Soul. Here all women are encouraged to grow, and offer their creative insights. We do this by prioritising healthy relationships, and building a fun and loving environment.
Opportunities are given based on interest and gifting, as well as character and commitment. All are emboldened to stay in their own lane. We praise teamwork and discourage competitiveness.
Women are given the chance to learn new skills, and engage in a variety of tasks. This increases job interest and flexibility within the workplace.

Currently, in support of breast cancer research, $1 from each piece of jewellery and $2 from apparel in our Pink Collection is donated to NBCF. We believe it is important to partner, where possible, with organisations and charities that fight for and stand by women.
We believe it is time women were known for their intelligence, strength, humour, creativity and character, as well as beauty and femininity.
Here, we use words like strong, brave hearted and beautiful in equal measure. We print 'you got this' on tee’s and 'loved' on hoodies. We hang 'flourish' on necklaces, 'enough' on bracelets, and 'shine' on cute keyrings. We want women and the people in their lives to see these words and be reminded that she is wholly remarkable.
Our 'Today I will' Collection is all about women choosing to nurture and foster who they are, and what they can do daily to rise up. Word charms such as: sing, dance, teach, write, dream, create; help women to motivate themselves and each other, and to build esteem.
